Adopt a town
”To make a small town achieve its potential, you need everybody. When a blind person carries a crippled person who can see, both of them get where they’re going”
Fort-Liberté is our first Adopt a Town project. Located in the Nord-Est department of Haiti, about 45 minutes from Cap-Haitien’s airport, Fort-Liberté is one of the oldest towns in the country. It’s the administrative capital of the Nord-Est department and where Haiti’s independence was proclaimed in 1803.
We aim to make a difference in Fort-Liberté by doing the following
Adopting the town's schools by talking with the school leaders to identify their needs and conducting fundraising events to meet those needs. In addition, we will set up scholarship funds for students and host free job-related workshops for students aged 16 and older.
Adopting the town's hospital by buying needed equipment and supplies to help the workers and conducting health fairs to remind the community that health is wealth.
Adopting the town's streets by cleaning the streets, parks, beaches, and public areas to add to the beauty and appeal of the community. This will attract more tourists to the area and create more job opportunities for the people of Fort-Liberté.
